Summer time is in full force! and it’s probably my most favorite time of the year! (it’s a close tie with Christmas). The warmer weather, sunshine, and weekend beach getaways bring more opportunities for me to wear prints/patterns. I’m highlighting the top 4 hottest prints for Summer that should be in your closet RIGHT NOW! 1. Tropic Like It’s Hot

I’m loving this tropical floral print trend that is hotter than the Alabama Heat is right now! Maybe because I can’t just jet off to a tropical island getaway right at the moment, so this print is giving me life and at least I can dress like I’m somewhere tropical (a girl can day dream, right!?).

This dress in particular I am obsessed with and so glad I made the purchase. The print is so vibrant and really brings out your summer tan (or faux tan…whatever floats your boat). The cutouts are placed perfectly with just the right amount of skin tastefully showing. It also has the cutest ruffle details, fluttery sleeves, and for $79, it’s a must!

Have I mentioned my love for wrap skirts??? (I’ll save my obsession for another blog post) So imagine my excitement when I found this one! I love the color combination of this print which lets you pair it with a ton of solid colored tops. I’ve dressed it up with heels and worn it super casual with sneakers and I’ve even worn it as a bathing suit coverup! $56 from one of my favorite local stores, Vine Boutique, in Fairhope, AL. If you haven’t checked them out, do it. You won’t be disappointed!

2. Love it or Leaf it

PALMS AWAAAAAYYY………I know this isn’t it’s first hot Summer, but The Palm Print Trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. I can just see this print and I’m instantly taken to Palm Beach. Even on a rainy summer day it can brighten up your look and have you dreaming of tropical locations and sun-kissed skin. (I really need a vacay) From work-appropriate dresses to bathing suits, to shoes, there’s so many options for you to add this print into your summer wardrobe in your own style.

I love this set by Beach Riot that I purchased from revolve. The top actually ties in the front, but I flipped it around to tie in the back so it didn’t look so much like a bathing suit top. I plan to wear these shorts a lot. With a graphic tee like THIS, Dressed up with a black silk top, or a plain black tee.

Stripes are huge this Summer (and every Summer, really). Stripes will always be “IN” and the vertical candy stripe version is my fav! It elongates and is super flattering making it easy to wear for everyone! Stripes always make me think of sailing and sailing to me = Summer! SEA LA VIE!

These cheery checks are as classic as polka dots or even stripes for that matter. I love the preppy vibe gingham gives off, but I also think you can style this print a bit on the edgy side. Take the skirt I’m wearing for instance. Pair it with a graphic tee like THIS and THESE SHOES……INSTANT EDGE. It’s also trending in an array of colors and not just the basic black/white. Try it in bright red (which would be so cute for Fourth of July), Pink, or even yellow.
