LILAC LOVE

I have been a lover of all things pastel for a few years now.. From clothing to interiors…JUST GIMME ALL THE COTTON CANDY COLORS! Mostly the blues, mint and soft blush, but this Spring I’m all about this lilac color. It is slowly filling my closet (move over pink) and I can’t wait to show you all of the lilac pieces I am loving and will be posting over the next few weeks. Like THIS and THIS. Be sure to follow along on insta @VPOFSTYLE.

This Lilac top, for the record, I was not even looking for. But that’s like most things that I find at Target. They have everything displayed so aesthetically pleasing that it ALL speaks to the deep abyss of my shopaholic soul. Then 7 hours later, there I am standing  in the checkout lane with a cart full of things when I legit came in for 1 (maybe a total of 3) things and definitely didn’t plan to spend that much time (or money) there. WHO CAN RELATE!? I know I’m not the only one! #targetislife

But this top was one of those finds that made my heart palpitate a little. Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE all things designer, but I get all kinds of obnoxiously giddy when I find something that resembles a designer line, but has a “mama’s on a budget” price-tag. This top has the quality and details meet my designer dup qualifications. It is the epitome of girly with its puff sleeves and sheer softness and the built in came underneath. Did I mention versatility!?? I can pair it with so many things to change my look completely; a dressy skirt for date night dinner or church; high waisted shorts for a cute day-time brunch/lunch/out on the town look; or with distressed white jeans for a more edgy vibe. For $17 dolla (make you holla – Sorry had to) you really can’t beat it!! The brand is A NEW DAY and I’m really loving everything they are putting out for spring.
