MY 2022 SPRING DENIM GUIDE
Let’s face it, no matter how much the trends change from season to season, year to year, there’s one thing you can always count on to remain in your wardrobe rotation and that’s a good ol pair of blue jeans. They are a closet staple and for good reason. Once you find the ones that fit you well, they’ll be your grab and go for a quick and easy #ootd for anything from school pick up/drop off to a date night with your beau.
I know with all of the denim washes and styles and brands, narrowing the denim choices down to actually purchasing can seem overwhelming. I did a try on haul on my instagram reels and TikTok highlighting a few of my favorites I am loving right now with all of the details of each. My 2022 Spring Denim Guide will be in one blog post for easy accessing and for you to reference back to. Let’s get started with a few of my favorite styles of jeans as a 38 year old mom of 4, shall we.
RE/DONE HIGH RISE STOVEPIPE CROP – First up we have a brand I have been obsessed with for a few years now called RE/DONE. You can find at all of my favorite online sites to shop like SHOPBOP, REVOLVE, NORDSTROM, BLOOMINGDALE’S, and even discounted at GILT sometimes. I have had this particular pair for about 3 years now and I tend to pull this one out for date night a lot. The style is called StovePipe Crop and its a high waisted, straight leg jean cropped right above the ankle. The wash is called the rip and I love the distressing. Button fly. 5-pocket design. Intentionally destroyed areas. Intentionally faded areas. 16″ at the knee narrows to 14″ at the leg opening. and I love that they’re MADE IN THE USA!
AGOLDE RILEY HIGH RISE STRAIGHT CROP – This jean is my go to on casual days and believe it or not, even when I’m lounging at home. They’re like my sweatpant jogger of jeans. Even though there is not much stretch to these and they’re a more rigid denim, they’re super soft made of 100% organic cotton. 11 inch rise, full button fly closure, 5 pocket, light fading, 14″ at the knee narrows to 13″ at the leg opening. I like to add just a little flip up cuff to the end and wear with sneakers, or slides, mules, loafers. Really any shoe as long as they don’t have an ankle strap. I feel like that type of show with these, cuts you off too much. They run true to size and I’m wearing my normal size in jeans (25).
CITIZENS OF HUMANITY JOLENE – I love the wash on this one (ponytail). It’s something different other than your typical blue denim, but still a great neutral color to pair with everything in any season, just like your blue washes. The jolene style is another high rise straight leg jean that looks great dressed casually or dressed up with heels. 11 inch rise, full button fly closure, 5 pocket, 13.5″ leg opening, stops right at the ankle for me (I’m 5’6″). Run tts and I’m wearing my regular size in jeans (25).
AGOLDE MIA MIDRISE FULL STRAIGHT LEG JEAN – I’m so over the white jegging tight tight jeans. These white jeans (wash is called element) by AGOLDE are a great alternative to swap out those white jegging style with. I know they say mid rise but they’re higher than a mid to me. (11.5″ rise). A true straight. The Mia is crafted from non-stretch denim with ease at the top block and an ankle grazing 28.5″ inseam. Wear with heels, pumps, sandals, slides, or cuffed with sneakers.

ROLLAS EAST COAST FLARE IN KAREN BLUE – I discovered Rollas a year ago, It’s an Australian based brand drawing inspiration from 1980’s photographers, skateboarders and pub rock bands, Rolla’s pares it down and focuses on the classic details and clean lines. It’s all about the look, the fit and keeping it simple.
This pair is called the East Coast Flare. With a 10.5″ rise, they’re super high waisted, flared leg with 31″ inseam, they’re perfect to pair with your tall wedge espadrille sandals, or platforms. They definitely give me a 70s vibe. They’s look great with flats as well if you’re tall enough to pull that off. Zip fly button closure. They run tts and I’m wearing my regular size (25).
MOTHER DENIM SMOKIN DOUBLE ANKLE IN BROKEN RECORD – Another new denim line I discovered about 2 years ago, Mother is known for their juxtaposing attitude of love and rebellion. These kick flare-leg jeans are made of stretch denim in a super high-waisted style.12″ rise, inseam 27″, zip fly button closure, leg opening about 16″. 98% cotton 2% elastane. MADE IN THE USA
The wash is a clean darker medium blue you can wear all year round. The kick flare looks great with any shoe. Runs tts and I’m wearing my regular size (25)
