The Balcony on Church Street is an event venue in downtown Fairhope, Alabama with a wrap around balcony giving you panoramic views of Fairhope Avenue and Church Street! It’s in the heart of downtown and I’ve seen many events happening from below, and frankly, was a little jealous I was not at these soirees that were looking like something straight out of a movie scene! It can accommodate roughly around 60 guests for a sit down dinner and around 110 for a cocktail type reception event and your event host can choose to have it catered or you can bring in your own food and beverages. You can host anything from birthday parties to wedding receptions to baby showers. You can even rent it for your family to people watch (my absolute favorite thing to do) and enjoy the upcoming Fairhope Mardi Gras parades from above!
HOW FUN WOULD THAT BE!?
During the holiday months when the downtown trees are lit up, it gives the balcony a sparkle like no other. When you’re here, in this space, you just feel like you’re a socialite, like it’s a private affair, and you have the VIP access to attend – like you’re the “top of the town”! So when I met the brand new owner, Lee Larson Manson, I knew we had to collaborate and feature this special spot, especially since she just purchased it 2 weeks ago and it couldn’t be a more perfect fit for her!
Lee has worked in the restaurant business for many years and was the event planner at the Hilton in Key West, Florida (hello vacay every day!). She moved to Fairhope about 7 years ago and of course she fell in love with it immediately! (I am lucky to call this place home, so I’m just a little bit biased ha!). So when the opportunity came for The Balcony to be purchased, she jumped right on owning one of the most elegant event spaces in the heart of downtown Fairhope. She is happy and eager to assist with any planning to make your next event a success!
Upon my first meeting with Lee, my wheels starting spinning immediately on what I would wear to feature this “top of the town” event spot! This blush ensemble is a Valentine’s Day outfit “contender” if David and I do decide to go out to dinner! (Remember my Valentine’s Day post when I said we really never make plans and we just kind of see how the day plays out??…yeah, I wasn’t kidding!).
It’s still chilly here and I love adding texture to a look. I felt the fur bolero was the perfect touch! These baubles from Harvest Jewels definitely made me look like I fit in to that “Socialite” status! I love that I can wear their jewelry dressed up, or with a t-shirt and jeans – it’s called everyday diamonds, ladies!!! I also loved that Stephanie Easterling, from Wildflowers Fairhope, wanted to be a part of this shoot as well and picked these gorgeous flowers for the tables! If you haven’t checked her out on instagram, do yourself a favor and give it a follow! Her gorgeous arrangements along with her creativity always brightens my day! The vases are also from her lovely store and were styled by Cindy Brown with Organize Etc!
The feather fringe shoes were the icing on the cake! I found these at Daphne’s Shoe Boutique in Daphne. They have such a great selection of shoes for ladies and men! Go Check them out if you’re local. I’ve linked similar styles that you can shop online as well.
If you have an event to host, this place is a definite must and I’m confident Lee and her entire team at The Balcony on Church Street can make all of your party planning dreams a reality!
